FACING ECONIMIC WOES WITH

When I first heard that the theme of this ACCLAIM would focus on our tougher economic times I was worried that it could be a bit of a “downer”. My lesson learned is never to underestimate the wisdom of our two editors, Manuela and Caryl, and the energy and determination of the CAWEE woman. What you’ll find in these pages is anything but a “downer”. You’ll read encouraging advice from Anita about saving pre-tax dollars, and creative ways to stretch your money; thoughtful comments from Camille about talking with employees during difficult circumstances, and an inspiring interview with Lara who leaves for a month of volunteer work this summer. And if these stories don’t lift your spirits, I guarantee you’ll enjoy looking at the photos from our fabulous IWD event – certainly a highlight of our year!
