Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs (“CAWEE”) may find it desirable to enter into an affiliation agreement with another like minded association for the purposes of advancing the CAWEE’s awareness and building outside relationships. The related association needs to pass a motion to be associated with CAWEE. The relationship is mutual, in that CAWEE needs to also pass a motion to accept affiliation with the other organization.

Purpose
The purpose of the Affiliate Policy is:

  • To enable the establishment of relationships that will increase awareness of CAWEE as well as benefit our members through one or more of the following: education, cross networking and business opportunities.
  • To define the criteria through which CAWEE may enter/exit into/out of an affiliation agreement.
Criteria for Affiliation
To be considered for official affiliation with CAWEE, organizations first must have a logical relationship to CAWEE (i.e., the provision of benefits or assistance to members) and:
  • Provide services or information that complement or enhance CAWEE and their members;
  • Support the programs and policies of CAWEE;
  • Do no harm to CAWEE and its reputation;
  • Not to include associations/groups with MLM, political or religious affiliations.
Benefits of Affiliation
  • Ability to promote events in the Communiqué, CAWEE’s monthly online newsletter, free of charge. Space permitting, some limitations may apply.
  • Recognition of the affiliate organization in Acclaim, the CAWEE national magazine.
  • Preferred rate, where applicable, at CAWEE events for members of the affiliate organization.
  • Opportunity to display company logo on our site.
Note: CAWEE Affiliation does not include nor require membership. However, affiliates do receive a preferred rates for CAWEE events when a preferred rate is indicated. We encourage our affiliates to join CAWEE so they can enjoy the benefits membership brings.

Note: The affiliation criteria described above are not the only criteria by which an organization may be judged as to their appropriateness for becoming a CAWEE affiliate. CAWEE retains the final right to determine which organizations will become affiliates. All affiliates are reviewed annually by the Director of Affiliates.

CAWEE may modify this policy at its sole discretion to meet the evolving needs of the program and its members. In the event CAWEE modifies this policy, CAWEE will notify existing affiliates of such changes within 30 calendar days of the change.
